We are a Christian church. This means we share certain teachings with all Christians everywhere. These teachings are summarized in what are called the ecumenical creeds.
These are the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. These are creeds from the early church and deal primarily with the identity of Jesus Christ and the gospel.
We are a Reformed church. This means our teaching is guided by three documents that were written during the Protestant Reformation. These are the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt.
