The Compton Initiative was founded in 2006 with a commitment to restore the city of Compton by painting homes, schools, churches, and public murals as well as conducting neighborhood clean-ups on quarterly workdays in partnership with individual volunteers and other organizations.
Four times a year, Trinity has committed to sending a team of volunteers to join hundreds in the Saturday morning tasks. The day starts at 7:30 AM at the assigned sight, and by noon, all work is completed with a pizza lunch and many smiles and thanks.
